“My fire will burn until the coming of Christ.”
These words—simple in appearance—contain a profound mystical message , which continues to inflame the hearts of truth seekers to this day.
This fire , called " Aesh Sheli ," is not a physical fire, but a spiritual fire. It symbolizes Rabbi Nahman's teaching , his worldview, his call to live with intensity, authenticity, and connection to God.
🕊️ What does “Aesh Sheli” mean?
The word " Aesh " means fire in Hebrew, and " Sheli " means mine.
“ Aesh Sheli ,” literally “ my fire ,” represents the living transmission of Torah , prayer, faith, and joy, as Rabbi Nahman brought it to the world.
But this fire does not stop with him.
Rabbi Nahman affirmed that his fire would continue to burn until the coming of the Messiah , that is, eternally. He wanted his teachings to be alive, transmissible, accessible —and above all, to ignite souls .
